Thanks for checking out the Merge Shawl!
This adjustable shawl / scarf hybrid is a relaxing knit composed of garter, slipped, and crossed stitches to create playful textured lines, and it is a great opportunity to show off some complementary variegated yarns, or even that gradient you’ve probably been saving for something special. As you knit, lines will emerge and make their way to the bottom of the shawl, where they will turn and merge with existing lines, like cars entering a highway. This creates a dynamic, expanding stripe along one edge of the shawl.
