Thanks for checking out the Heartstrings Cowl!
Although ‘heart strings’ are actual anatomical structures (fibrous tissues that connect valves and muscles in the heart), this cowl’s name takes a more literal approach. Like its cousin, the Heartstrings Shawl, this pattern uses simple two-stitch cables and slipped stitches to create geometric hearts…on strings. The slightly tedious heart section is balanced by a nice, relaxing garter-stitch base, making this cowl a good fit even for novice knitters looking to develop their skills.
